BYU vs. New Mexico State: Post Game Thoughts and Analysis

Sure the Brigham Young Cougars were playing "just" New Mexico State, but this was an exciting game that true football fans would appreciate.

The Editor talks about what made this game so exciting, including:
  • James Lark's first career start at quarterback;
  • Cody Hoffman's career game;
  • Jamaal Williams' rare freshman accomplishment;
  • The great Cougar defense.

  1. I agree. Alot to be proud of with how Lark and Hoffman performed. Be nice to see the better QB Lark get the start in the bowl game wouldn't it?

    1. Perhaps the "best case scenario" for the bowl would be to have Riley and Lark trade series, just like Riley and Heaps did against Washington 2010, and have both play well as BYU crushes SDSU.

      Let both go out with a bang as seniors.

      How practical that would be, I don't know. Probably more wishful thinking than anything else.

  2. I would rather just watch Lark start and tear it up. I've seen what Riley can or cannot do. SDSU will just stack the box and force Riley to beat them with his arm. He hasn't been successful in doing that this year. Bronco needs to pull his head out.
