BYU Football: Did you know? (6 TD passes in one game)

After Brigham Young Cougars quarterback James Lark threw six touchdowns against New Mexico State, it was quickly pointed out that he was just the tenth BYU player to do so. What about among his contemporaries--the other quarterbacks playing college football in 2012?

Did you know that James Lark is just the seventh player in the nation to throw six touchdowns in a single game this season?

West Virginia quarterback Geno Smith is the only player with more than six touchdowns. He threw eight against Baylor.

Three players threw six touchdowns once.
  1. Oklahoma quarterback Landry Jones threw six TDs against West Virginia.
  2. Miami (OH) quarterback Zac Dysert threw six TDs against Akron.
  3. Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota threw six TDs against California.
USC quarterback Matt Barkley threw six touchdown passes in two games: Colorado and Syracuse.

Texas Tech quarterback Seth Doege, who leads the nation with 38 touchdown passes, also leads the nation with three 6 TD games: West Virginia, New Mexico, and TCU.
