BYU in NFL, Week 11: Pitta concussed, Keisel strong in loss, So’oto back with the Packers

The big head-to-head showdown of former Brigham Young Cougars in the Baltimore Ravens-Pittsburgh Steelers game was cut short when Baltimore TE Dennis Pitta left the game with a concussion. Brett Keisel played the whole game on the other side for the Steelers. A week after being cut by the Oakland Raiders, Vic So'oto was back on an NFL roster.

Dennis Pitta, Baltimore Ravens, Tight End

Pitta left the game in the first quarter with a concussion. Before leaving, Pitta made one reception on the Ravens’ opening drive.  The Ravens offense could have used Pitta’s presence. They had just 164 yards passing. Thanks to the defense, the Ravens held on to beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 13-10.

Brett Keisel, Pittsburgh Steelers, Defensive End

Keisel was a force very early, again, in the game. He was in the backfield on the very first play to disrupt a pass. On the second play of the game, Keisel made a solo tackle on a run play to set up a long third down, and the Ravens came up two yards short. Keisel was consistent all game long making at least one tackle in all four quarters. As a team, the Steelers came up short losing 13-10 despite a great defensive effort.

Denney didn’t have any snapping problems, and he got a lot of work. Miami scored two touchdowns, which means two extra point snaps. The Dolphins attempted one field goal. While the snap was good, the kick missed off the upright. Miami punted six times. While Denney made good snaps on all six, one was returned for a touchdown.
