BYU in NFL, Week 12: Sacks for Ansah, Van Noy, and Sorensen; two TDs for Williams

Credit: Jim Rassol, Sun Sentinel

It was a big week for former BYU Cougars in the NFL. Ezekiel Ansah is back--with a vengance. Jamaal Williams scores two touchdowns as Green Bay almost upsets the Steelers. Van Noy left the field with an injury, but is probably ok.

Here is a complete rundown of former Cougars in the NFL for week twelve.

Ezekiel Ansah, Detroit Lions (6-5, L 30-23 Minnesota Vikings)
Ansah returned to action and got a sack and two tackles for loss on Thanksgiving. He played just 32 snaps on defense (44%), and one on special teams (3%).

John Denney, Miami Dolphins (4-7, L 35-17 New England Patriots)
Denney did his usual long snapping. He made excellent snaps on one field goal, two extra points, and five punts. These eight plays accounted for 30 percent of the Dolphins' special teams plays.

Daniel Sorensen, Kansas City Chiefs (6-5, L 16-10 Buffalo Bills)
Sorensen had a huge sack for a 11-yard loss on a 3rd and 1 play. For the game, he had seven tackles, including the sack and a tackle for loss. He played in all 70 of the Cheifs' defensive plays, and 14 special teams plays (47%). The link in the tweet below will take you to the video of Sorensen's sack. Definitely worth watching.
