Keys to the Game

1. Stop the run: Running the ball is UNLV's strength on offense. BYU must stop the run, and force UNLV to throw the ball. The Running Rebels are just average at passing.

2. Run the ball: UNLV run defense is weak. BYU needs a strong ground game to help whoever is filling in for Tanner Mangum at quarterback.

3. Third downs: The BYU defense must get third down stops early in the drive, and the BYU offense must be very efficient at converting third downs. Two things the Cougars have struggled with all season.
