Keys to the Game

1. Get off to a fast start: BYU needs to score at least a touchdown, if not 10 points, in the first quarter. Preferably no later than the second possession of the game. Have a couple of plays 20 yards or longer, too. Take a look at the Hawai'i defense's numbers again; they are terrible. BYU has to take advantage of the weak opponent. Otherwise, the Warriors defense could gain confidence and keep BYU in check, like UMass did, all game.

2. Stout run defense: Hawai'i's top two running backs average over five yards per carry. They have carried the ball over 300 times this season. The Warriors are going to pound the ball on the ground. BYU has to be stout up front and not allow easy 3rd and Short situtaions.
