BYU in NFL, Week 5: Ansah, Van Noy, Sorensen get sacks

It was BYU's big three--Ansah, Sorensen, and Van Noy--providing the highlights for Cougar fans in the NFL this week.


Here is the run down for all former BYU players in the NFL for week five. 

Ezekiel Ansah, Detroit Lions (4-2 L Carolina Panthers 27-24)
Ansah had two tackles, including a sack. It is the second week in a row that a former Cougar has sacked Cam Newton.

John Denney, Miami Dolphins (2-2 W Tennessee Titans 16-10) 
Denney snapped for nine punts, one field goal, and two extra points.

Daniel Sorensen, Kansas City Chiefs (5-0 W Houston Texans 42-34)
Sorensen had six tackles, including half a sack. He also got credit for a pass break up.

Kyle Van Noy, New England Patriots (3-2 W Tampa Bay Buccaneers 19-14)
Van Noy made seven tackles, including 0.5 sacks. It is the second game in a row that he made a sack.

Harvey Langi, New England Patriots (3-2 W Tampa Bay Buccaneers 19-14)
Langi did not play.

Bronson Kaufusi, Baltimore Ravens (3-2 W Oakland Raiders 30-17)
Kaufusi did not play.

Jamaal Williams, Green Bay Packers (4-1 W Dallas Cowboys 35-31)
Williams had one rush for one yard.

Alani Fua, Arizona Cardinals (2-2 W San Francisco 49ers 18-15 OT)
Fua will not play until fully recovering from an injury sustained last season.

Taysom Hill, New Orleans Saints (2-2 Bye)

Kai Nacua, Cleveland Browns (0-5 L New York Jets 17-14)
Nacua played, but did not record any stats.

Michael Davis, Los Angeles Chargers (1-4 W New York Giants 24-22)
Davis had two tackles on special teams (one punt, one kickoff).

Jordan Leslie, Cleveland Browns (0-5 L New York Jets 17-14)
Leslie pulled a hamstring and is out.
