BYU Football: Did you know? (500 yards passing)

Max Hall, BYU QB (2007-09)

It dawned on me earlier this week that this month marked the 10th anniversary of Max Hall passing for 537 yards against Tulsa (September 15, 2007, to be exact), and that no BYU quarterback has reached the 500-yard benchmark since then.
Did you know that, since Virgil Carter became the first BYU quarterback to pass for 500 yards in a game, the longest time between 500 yard passing games is 11 years 2 days?
As you might expect, that was the interval between BYU's first and second 500-yard passing games. Carter had 513 yards against Texas Western (now UTEP) on November 3, 1966. It wasn't until Marc Wilson had 571 yards passing against Utah on November 5, 1977, that the Cougars had another quarterback eclipse 500 yards.

Ever since Wilson did it, it became more of a regular occurrence. Besides the current stretch, the next longest drought of 500 yard passers was six years, 15 days (September 9, 1999, to September 24, 2005).

Below is a list of all the 500 yard passing performances by BYU quarterbacks, in chronological order.
