Kyle Van Noy has game changing turnover, Saints are all in on using Taysom Hill

Source: Patriots Wire

With the New England Patriots season at a critical juncture, even if it was just week four, former BYU Cougar Kyle Van Noy did his part to make sure the Patriots dynasty isn't dead, yet.

Taysom Hill is becoming more than a side show in New Orleans. The Saints are using him in so many different situations even Kordell Stewart would be jealous.

Kyle Van Noy, New England Patriots (2-2), W Miami Dolphins 38-7

Van Noy had four tackles. He also jumped on an errant shotgun snap for a fumble recovery. The Patriots scored a touchdown on the next play for a 17-0 lead midway through the second quarter, which was essentially game over. He also got pressure on the quarterback to help force an incomplete pass on third down. Van Noy played just 31 downs on defense (63%) and six (24%) on special teams.

Taysom Hill, New Orleans Saints (3-1), W New York Giants 33-18

Hill was everywhere for the Saints. He completed a 10-yard pass on a fake punt for a first down. The first of the game for the Saints. He caught a pass later in that drive, which ended in a field goal for New Orleans. Hill ran the ball four times for 28 yards, including a bruising 19-yard gain. That drive also ended in a field goal. He played as a return specialist, again, returning one kickoff. He would have had a touchdown pass, but the intended receiver dropped the ball.

In total, Hill played 15 downs on offense (21%) and 21 on special teams (72%).

John Denney, Miami Dolphins (3-1) L 38-7 New England Patriots 38-7

Denney was the Dolphins long snapper on seven punts and one extra point. He made the tackle on two of the punts. He has three tackles this season.

Jamaal Williams, Green Bay Packers (2-1-1) W Buffalo Bills 22-0

Williams is still the starting running back for the Packers, but he is playing less. He had a nice 11-yard run for a first down on the Packers' first series of the game. He reached a career milestone with 200 carries. Williams played 28 downs on offense (37%).

Fred Warner, San Francisco 49ers (1-3) L Los Angeles Chargers 29-27

Warner continues to put up big tackle numbers. He continued his streak of double-digit tackles in a game. He was in coverage on a touchdown pass. Depending on the source, Warner was either helpless because Phillip Rivers threw a perfect pass, or Warner was to blame because he didn't look back and could have easily broken up the pass if he had. You be the judge.

Either way, coaches didn't think Warner warranted being benched for the play. He, again, played every defensive snap (68), plus 15 special teams plays (47%).
