Ranking Kyle Van Noy's Four Touchdowns

With two touchdowns in the Poinsettia Bowl, Brigham Young Cougars linebacker Kyle Van Noy now has four career touchdowns. Rarely does a defensive player score a touchdown. It is even rarer that a defensive player scores two in his collegiate career.

Recognizing how unique Van Noy's achievement was, BLUE COUGAR FOOTBALL used his touchdowns as the subject of this week's poll question. We asked site visitors "Which Kyle Van Noy touchdown is your favorite?"

Coming in at number four with 6% of the vote was Van Noy's first career touchdown. As a freshman in 2010, he picked up a fumble at Colorado State and raced 44 yards for a touchdown. The score gave BYU a 21-0 lead early in the second quarter.

You can watch it in the video below at the 1:20 mark.

The third favorite touchdown by Van Noy, with 7% of the votes, was his most recent. To cap off a spectacular Poinsettia Bowl performance against San Diego State, Van Noy intercepted a pass and returned it 17-yards for a touchdown. This touchdown gave BYU a 23-6 lead with about six minutes to play.

After leading the first several days of the voting period, Van Noy's fumble recovery in the end zone to give BYU a 10-6 lead in the 2012 Poinsettia Bowl finished second with 35% of the votes. It was BYU's first lead of the game.

The clear cut, most favorite Kyle Van Noy touchdown, with over half of the votes (52%), was the game winning 3-yard fumble return at Ole Miss in the 2011 season opener. This play gave BYU a 14-13 lead with just over five minutes to play in the game.

The look on all the Rebels fans' faces perfectly illustrates why this touchdown is the favorite among Cougar fans. BYU fans were equally happy as these fans were stunned by what Van Noy did.

Thank you to everyone who voted. Don't forget to vote in this week's poll: "How good will Bronson Kaufusi be as a basketball player?"
