The Brigham Young Cougars’ 2012 recruiting class may have lacked quantity (17 players), but it certainly did not lack quality.
Hinds and Weeks were also Maxpreps All-Americans, and Mangum was the MVP of the Under Armour All-America Game.
All 17 signees received recognition on some higher level as an all-league, all-conference, all-region player, or player of the year honors.

Did you know that ten members of the class of 2012 received all-state citations?Micah Hannemann (UT), Taysom Hill (ID), Troy Hinds (UT), Austin Hoyt (CA), Tanner Mangum (ID), Ammon Olsen (UT), Butch Pau'u (CA), Steven Richards (UT, honorable mention), Rhett Sandlin (UT, honorable mention), and Josh Weeks (AZ) were all-state players in their respective states.

On a national scale, very average class lets be honest. We'll need to do a lot more than this to entertain any hope of a BCS bowl and don't get me started if by some miracle we get into the Big12.

DeleteYou are wrong. If you rate the classes by average individual ranking (# of stars) instead total points, BYU is #34 instead of #59. That puts BYU in the top 25%. Oh, and Utah then becomes #49.
