Hill, Van Noy, Warner, Williams all make key plays, Ansah out for season

Fred Warner's 3rd down stop in OT was just one of several key plays made by BYU Cougars in the NFL this week (Courtesy Twitter @rickyhelton1)

BYU Cougars were a force in the NFL this week. Five Cougars influenced games for good, and one more got a raw deal on a poor officiating call that changed the game.

It wasn't all positive, however, as Ezekiel Ansah's season has ended prematurely.

Kyle Van Noy, New England Patriots (9-5) L Pittsburgh Steelers 17-10

Van Noy had a big sack early in the game as part of his three tackles. Officials were so fearful for Ben Rothlisberger's health they invoked the mercy rule. Van Noy played 64 defensive snaps (100%) and ten special teams plays (50%).
