BYU Football: Did you know? (East Carolina Series)

The Brigham Young Cougars announced a home-and home series with East Carolina University that will take place in 2017 and 2018. Barring a meeting in a bowl game between now and then, it will be the first time the two schools have met.
Did you know that with the East Carolina series BYU has played, or is scheduled to play, 74 of the 120 current NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision teams?
The teams BYU has not played are:
  • 7 ACC Teams: Clemson, Duke, Maryland, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest;
  • 4 Big East Teams: Cincinnati, Connecticut (UConn), Rutgers, South Florida;
  • 6 Big Ten Teams: Illinois, Michigan State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, Purdue;
  • 2 C-USA Teams: Memphis, UAB;
  • 1 Independent Team: Army
  • 10 MAC Teams: Akron, Buffalo, Ball State, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Kent State, Miami (OH), Northern Illinois, Ohio, Toledo;
  • 8 SEC Teams: Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, LSU, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vanderbilt;
  • 7 Sun Belt Teams: Florida Atlantic, Florida International, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana-Monroe, Middle Tennessee, Troy, Western Kentucky; and
  • 1 WAC Team: Louisiana Tech.
BYU has played every team from the Big XII, Pac-12, and Mountain West Conference. There are zero conferences that BYU has not played at least one member.
