For the second time in three seasons, Kyle Van Noy celebrates a championship in the Super Bowl confetti. |
Former BYU linebacker Kyle Van Noy has played in the Super Bowl every season since being traded to the New England Patriots in 2016. With the 13-3 win, he can update his resume to two-time Super Bowl Champ.
He has played a bigger and bigger role in the Patriots defense each Super Bowl since his arrival.
Kyle Van Noy, New England Patriots (11-5) W Los Angeles Rams 13-3
Divisional Round: 4 TKL, 1 PBU
Conference Championship: 10 TKL, 2 sacks, 2 TFL, 1 FF
Super Bowl: 4 TKL, 1 sack, 1 TFL
Playoff Totals: 18 TKL, 3 sacks, 3 TFL, 1 PBU, 1 FF
Van Noy's biggest play was his first tackle, and 14 yard sack on third down. It was reminiscent of his sack at the end of the UCF game in 2011 to seal that win.
The Rams STILL have not converted on 3rd down, and it’s Kyle Van Noy with the sack. pic.twitter.com/8tJtvCyiFd— DraftKings (@DraftKings) February 4, 2019
He was a menace causing disruption in the backfield all night. Van Noy was a step away from getting credit for half a sack on this play.
