Taysom Hill's role with Saints continues to grow, Fred Warner continues to have big role in San Francisco

Fred Warner (48) continues his standout rookie season

Once again, Taysom Hill is the former BYU Cougar in the NFL who turned the most heads. It seem like the Saints head coach Sean Payton is ready to let Hill loose now that Teddy Bridgwater is on the roster. They don't have to worry about injury to Hill so much now that they have another quality backup. That is allowing him to see the field more often and in added capacity. How his career plays out in the long run at quarterback is still a mystery, but he is definitely helping his overall career putting his athleticism on display in multiple ways.

Fred Warner is also helping his young career as he continues to pile up the tackles.

Kyle Van Noy, New England Patriots (1-2), L Detroit Lions 26-10

Van Noy was one tackle off the team lead with seven tackles. Van Noy played 64 downs on defense (88%) and eight (32%) on special teams.

Taysom Hill, New Orleans Saints (2-1), W Atlanta Falcons 43-37 OT

Hill had an impact three different ways for the Saints. He continued the role he had last year covering punts and kickoffs, and made one tackle. He continued to return kickoffs, but none were as exciting as the 47-yard return he had a week ago. Hill also started carrying the ball for the Saints on offense.

He had three carries from the quarterback position. He broke loose for 35-yards on one, which set up a touchdown in the fourth quarter. Hill saw action on a total of five offensive plays (6%), and 29 special teams plays (81%).

John Denney, Miami Dolphins (3-0) W Oakland Raiders 28-20

Denney was the Dolphins long snapper on six punts, four extra points. He made the tackle on the first punt for a return of -1 yard.

Jamaal Williams, Green Bay Packers (1-1-1) L Washington Redskins 31-17

Williams saw the field a lot less now that Aaron Jones is back from his suspension. He made the most of his touches. It was his best game of the season for yards per carry, and his best game receiving. Williams played 30 downs on offense (43%).
