A few months ago when it became clear that Brigham Young Cougars defensive end Ezekiel "Ziggy" Ansah would be an NFL first round draft pick, The Saturday Edge reached out to me requesting a synopsis on the BYU player that would replace Ziggy next year. The Saturday Edge recently published my synopsis on Bronson Kaufusi. You can find it by clicking here.
Wait, there's more.
The Saturday Edge repeated this exercise for every expected NFL first round draft pick. If you click the link above, you will also find a scouting report for two Notre Dame players. The replacements for tight end Tyler Eifert and linebacker Manti Te'o. As I explained, the editors of TSE took initiative and started compiling these synopses well before the draft. While Te'o wasn't a first round draft pick, a scouting report on Te'o's replacement was already prepared, so they threw it in anyways.
It looks like the Fighting Irish have another big body to play tight end (Eifert was 6-foot-6). Te'o's replacement is predicted to be an unknown player--at this point, but by the time the Cougars venture back to South Bend he could be a candidate for the college football newcomer of the year.
Again, all this can be found by clicking here.
Additionally, TSE had a few questions for Blue Cougar Football about BYU at the end of Spring Football. You can find that Q & A here.
The Editor appreciates all feedback. He can be reached via email at bluecougarfootball@gmail.com
