The poll results are in. Jake Heaps will become an official member of the BYU quarterback club this year according to 91% of you.
Based on the standards I established last week, I believe Heaps will join the club in 2011. I don't want to go into too many details about why I think he will get there this year because that gets into some future posts I have planned, and I don't want to ruin those. The 3,500 yards, 60% completions, 2:1 TD to Int. ratio will all come easy. The 30 touchdown passes won't. Don't kid yourself. As much as the passing game has evolved in the last 30 years, 30 touchdowns is still a lot for one season. However, I think he will get there.
