What the flip? Van Noy, Sorensen, and Hill score touchdowns

Michael Davis gets up after breaking up a pass in the first quarter (Courtesy DenverPost.com).

Almost every BYU Cougar in the NFL ended the 2018 season on a positive note of some kind. Kyle Van Noy, Taysom Hill, Daniel Sorensen all scored the second touchdowns of their careers. Michael Davis had a big game to reach 50 tackles for the season. Hopefully, his contract has some kind of bonus for that milestone.

These four Cougars will continue playing in the playoffs.

Fred Warner and Bronson Kaufusi also had noteable stats.

Kyle Van Noy, New England Patriots (11-5) W New York Jets 38-3

Van Noy had three tackles for the third week in a row. One was a third down stop, and another was a shared TFL. His biggest play of the game, however, was scoring his second touchdown of the season. A 46-yard fumble return.

Taysom Hill, New Orleans Saints (13-3) L Carolina Panthers 33-14

Hill still played his regular role, even though other Saints were sitting out. His big highlight was bulldozing his way for his second touchdown of the season.

John Denney, Miami Dolphins (7-9) L Buffalo Bills 42-17

Denney was the long snapper for five punts, one field goal, and two extra points.

He has four tackles this season.

Jamaal Williams, Green Bay Packers (6-9-1) L Detroit Lions 31-0

Williams and the rest of the Packers are probably happy this miserable season is finally over. It fell far short of expectations, just like this final loss at home.

Fred Warner, San Francisco 49ers (4-12) L Los Angeles Rams 48-32

Warner finished his amazing rookie season with a 14 tackle game (seven in each half), which led the team. He made the 49ers first tackle in both the first and second halves. Just before halftime he was injured. Obviously, it wasn't serious and he returned to finish the game.
