BYU Football: Did you know?

The Brigham Young Cougars play the UCF Knights from Orlando, Florida. This week's "Did You Know" looks at BYU football and the Sunshine State.
Did you know that since BYU started playing football in 1922, the school has had 24 players from Florida on the roster?
The first Floridian ever was Lorenzo Anderson from Mateo, Florida. He played for BYU in 1948. The most notable Floridians are running back Brian McKenzie (1996-97), cornerback Brandon Bradley (2006-10), and wide receiver O'Neill Chambers (2008-10).

Chris Kasper, a 6'3" 264 pound defensive lineman who played from 1999-2001, is the Florida Cougar whose hometown was closest to UCF. He played for West Orange High School, which was only 24.51 miles from the UCF campus.
