BYU fans have plenty to be excited about with week two in the NFL

Former BYU Cougars in the NFL gave BYU fans plenty to be excited about this weekend.

Here is the run down for all former BYU players in the NFL for week one. 

Ezekiel Ansah, Detroit Lions (2-0, W New York Giants 24-10)
Ansah was the real giant on the field Monday night. He had a team high six tackles, registered three sacks, and a forced fumble.

Just before the game, ESPN ran a special about Ansah on Monday Night Countdown.

John Denney, Miami Dolphins (1-0 W Los Angeles Chargers 19-17) 
Denney was perfect pn his long snaps for three punts, one extra point, and four field goals, including the 54-yard game winner with 1:05 to play.

Daniel Sorensen, Kansas City Chiefs (2-0, W Philadelphia Eagles 27-20)
Sorensen made the play of the week as he soared over an Eagles running back to get pressure on the Eagles QB and force an incomplete pass on third down. He had a game high six tackles and made three total hits on the quarterback.




Kyle Van Noy, New England Patriots (1-1 W New Orleans Saints 36-20)
Van Noy made four tackles this week, including one tackle for loss.

Harvey Langi, New England Patriots (1-1 W New Orleans Saints 36-20)
Langi made one special teams tackle.

Bronson Kaufusi, Baltimore Ravens (2-0, W Cleveland Browns 24-10)
Kaufusi did not play.

Jamaal Williams, Green Bay Packers (1-1, L Atlanta Falcons 34-23)
Williams continued to contribute positively with one first down run and one first down catch. Stats: 2 carries, 6 yards; 1 reception, 5 yards.

Alani Fua, Arizona Cardinals (1-1, W Indianapolis Colts 16-13)
Fua did not play and will not play until he is off of injured reserve for an injury he suffered three games into last season.

Taysom Hill, New Orleans Saints (0-2 L New England Patriots 36-20)
Hill did not play for the second straight week.

Kai Nacua, Cleveland Browns (0-2, L Baltimore Ravens 24-10)
Nacua playexd for Cleveland, but did not record any stats. 

Michael Davis, Los Angeles Chargers (0-2 L Miami Dolphins 19-17)
Davis was brought up from the practice squad this week. He made one tackle.
