Now that BYU is independant, their schedules will be strong enough to warrant at least consideration for a space in the NC game. Now they have to win all of their games, but that is by no means impossible.Gorum the Oldnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2021786907272420084.post-63007248055171945462012-01-05T00:29:37.591-05:002012-01-05T00:29:37.591-05:00I think everyone got expectations too high. Just the year before was a down year, and while it was obvious that we had a lot of returning young talent, such talent always takes time to develop and there was no reason to really think that they would turn around from a 7 wins to top 15.

People I think also had unrealistic of Doman and other coaches in a new position, and at this point people are overly critical of these novice coaches. There are always growing pains while trying to break in a new OC and other coaches.

Overall, I think a 10-3 season is a success, even if they do not make the top 25. It is a big turnaround from last season.Neal Rappleyehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10877516890457711084noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2021786907272420084.post-33691806442529788922012-01-04T15:53:37.354-05:002012-01-04T15:53:37.354-05:00I'm a Y alumn and fan, but please, lets stop t...I'm a Y alumn and fan, but please, lets stop the National Championship talk please. I know the coaches were building that type of hype up, but really, BYU is no where near the program talent and coaching wise to compete with the big boys. Hey, I love BYU football, but I've realized over the years where we stand...we made our name playing in a weak WAC and MW conference, but that's ok, we won a NC in 84 despite of that.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
